Prima Pramac Yamaha win MotoGP tuk-tuk challenge

Toprak Razgatlioglu and Jack Miller claimed victory in Sunday’s MotoGP tuk-tuk challenge at the season-opening Thailand Grand Prix.

The Prima Pramac Yamaha pair edged out Red Bull KTM Tech3 duo Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales, while third place went to LCR Honda Castrol riders Johann Zarco and Diogo Moreira.

The event replaced the traditional rider parade at the Chang International Circuit, with all 11 teams completing a single lap in the three-wheeled vehicles, an iconic symbol of the Thai culture.

Held after the morning warm-up session, it added a festive element to race day proceedings.

Miller welcomed the fun race after the win, saying: “The tuk-tuk did what it needed to do. I had a fantastic team-mate in Toprak; we got the win and looked good doing so!”

Three-time WorldSBK champion Razgatlioglu echoed the sentiment: “I’m very happy. Jack is also crazy, so we really enjoyed it.

“Before the start, we spoke about whether we could do a wheelie, and in the end we did it. That was incredible and we really had fun.”

However, the actual race told a different story for the Prima Pramac Yamaha duo, as Razgatlioglu and Miller finished 17th and 18th respectively in the Grand Prix itself.

Marco Bezzecchi secured victory ahead of Pedro Acosta and Raul Fernandez, while both Marquez brothers failed to finish.
