Bulega beats WorldSBK, MotoGP rivals to win Ducati Race of Champions

Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) leader Nicolo Bulega claimed victory in Sunday’s Race of Champions in Misano, Italy.

The exhibition race was the main highlight of 2026 World Ducati Week, with all riders from various Ducati-supported racing championships competing on Ducati Panigale V4 machinery.

Starting from pole position, Bulega led all 10 laps to finish 1.437s ahead of Alberto Surra, while Lorenzo Baldassarri completed an all-WorldSBK podium.

The victory continued Bulega’s remarkable run of form after winning all 21 races since the start of the 2026 WorldSBK season.

Francesco Bagnaia was the highest-finishing MotoGP rider in fifth, with reigning world champion Marc Marquez ending the race outside the top 10.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Hafizh Syahrin finished 10th among 16 participating riders.

The JDT Racing Team rider was the sole representative from the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) and arrived at Misano in the middle of a dominant campaign, having won all six ASB1000 races so far this season.
