Novak Djokovic has once again rewritten the Wimbledon Championships record books during his run to the 2026 semi-finals, where a blockbuster meeting with defending champion Jannik Sinner awaits.

Most Wimbledon men’s singles match wins
Djokovic became the winningest men’s singles player in Wimbledon history after defeating Roman Safiullin in the fourth round, recording his 106th match victory at the All England Club. He surpassed Roger Federer’s previous record of 105 wins, which had stood since 2021. The overall Wimbledon singles record, across both men and women, remains Martina Navratilova’s 120 victories.
Oldest Wimbledon men’s semi-finalist since 1974
At 39 years old, Djokovic became the oldest man to reach the Wimbledon semi-finals since Ken Rosewall in 1974. Rosewall, also aged 39, remains the oldest men’s singles finalist in the Open Era.
First man to reach eight consecutive Wimbledon semi-finals
Djokovic became the first man to reach eight consecutive Wimbledon semi-finals, surpassing Federer’s streak of seven straight appearances between 2003 and 2009. Djokovic’s run stretches from 2018 to 2026, with the 2020 edition cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most Grand Slam first-round singles wins
Djokovic became the first player in the Open Era to record more than 80 first-round singles victories at Grand Slam tournaments after defeating Wu Yibing in the opening round of Wimbledon.
