Al Nassr will have to wait until March to face Al Ahli after the Saudi Pro League rescheduled three matches.

The league cited logistical requirements and minimum rest periods between matches in announcing the changes on Tuesday.

Al Ahli’s home meeting with Al Nassr, originally scheduled for October 15, will now take place on 6 March 2027.

Al Riyadh’s match against Al Hilal and Al Ittihad’s fixture against Al Shabab have both been moved from October 16 to December 19.

The remaining Matchday Nine fixtures will go ahead as scheduled.

The schedule changes came during renewed fighting involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis, whose recent attacks targeted airports and energy facilities in the kingdom.

Al Nassr had already experienced disruption to their AFC Champions League Elite match against Uzbekistan’s Neftchi Fergana in Riyadh on Monday.

Kick-off was delayed by an hour following a security alert, with Saudi authorities reporting the interception of a missile launched towards the capital.

The match eventually went ahead, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring in Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory.
