Indonesia’s men’s doubles team, Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin, had to settle for runner-up at the Korea Masters 2025 after being defeated by the host nation’s representatives, Lee Jong-min and Wang Chan, on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

The final match, held at the Wonkwang University Cultural and Sports Center in Iksan City, South Korea, was dramatic.

Raymond and Nikolaus took the first game with a score of 21-16. However, the world No. 37 pair lost control of the match and were defeated in the next two games, 16-21 and 6-21.

Although newly paired, Lee and Wang have frequently competed in BWF World Tour events, giving them more experience in handling tough moments.

For Raymond and Nikolaus, this was their first final in a Super 300 tournament and only their second appearance at this level.

Lee and Wang’s victory added to the host nation’s success, following Kim Jae-hyeon and Jeong Na-eun’s win in mixed doubles against Malaysia’s Jimmy Wong and Lau Pei Jing (24-22, 21-18).

Jimmy and Lau have now lost in seven finals this year.

A different fate befell Korea’s women’s doubles team, Kim So-yeong and Lee Seo-jin, who were defeated by Japan’s Hinata Suzuki and Nao Yamakita.

In women’s singles, Chiu Pin Chian triumphed over Vietnam’s Nguyen Thuy Linh.

In men’s singles, Singapore’s Jia Heng Jason Teh defeated Japan’s Yudai Okimoto.
