Aprilia Racing has announced that Jorge Martin will travel to Valencia for the season-ending Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, subject to passing a medical examination on Thursday (13/11/2025) at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

The reigning 2024 MotoGP World Champion has been absent since his Tissot Sprint crash at the Japanese Grand Prix, where he sustained a displaced fracture of his right collarbone.

If declared fit, Martin will make his long-awaited return aboard the RS-GP in front of his home fans and participate in the official Valencia Test scheduled for Tuesday after the race weekend—an opportunity to reset ahead of the winter break following a challenging, injury-hit debut season with Aprilia.

“Jorge Martin will travel to Valencia for the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community,” the team confirmed in a statement. “The Spanish rider, who has been absent since the Japanese GP due to a displaced fracture of his right collarbone sustained during the sprint race, will still need to undergo evaluation by the FIM Grand Prix World Championship Medical Team in order to receive clearance to race.”

Should Martin be cleared to ride, he is expected to serve a deferred penalty for his collision with Marco Bezzecchi at Motegi, which the FIM stewards postponed due to his injury. If he misses the final round, the sanction will likely carry over into 2026.

Martin’s place at the factory Aprilia squad has been filled by test rider Lorenzo Savadori during his absence. The Spaniard’s best result of his truncated campaign was a fourth-place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

His season has been marred by multiple injuries, including two pre-season setbacks that ruled him out of the first three rounds, followed by a serious crash in Qatar that sidelined him until July’s Czech Grand Prix.

During this period, Martin explored activating a release clause in his Aprilia contract but has since committed to the second year of his deal with the Noale-based manufacturer.

MotoGP Valencia kicks off on Friday (November 14, 2025). Watch all the final race sessions of the season on SPOTV NOW.
