At the Australian Open, An Se-young claimed her 10th title of the year after defeating Indonesia’s Putri Kusuma Wardani in the final, Sunday (23/11/2025).
Competing at Quaycentre Olympic Boulevard in Sydney, the South Korean star secured a straight-game victory, 21-16, 21-14, in just 44 minutes. This achievement breaks her own personal record of nine titles set in 2023.
“This is very special, of course, to win my 10th title. I’m really happy. I want to break Momota’s record, but I’m just taking it one step at a time. I only want to play my best every match,” said An after her win at the US$475,000 Super 500 tournament.
Currently, the record for most World Tour titles in a single season belongs to Kento Momota, who won 11 titles in 2019. An Se-young is now closing in on that milestone.
