As the 2026 BWF World Tour heads into its third tournament of the season, a string of high-profile withdrawals has significantly reshaped the draw at the Indonesia Masters. Several of the sport’s biggest names have opted to skip the Super 500 event in Jakarta, citing fatigue, recovery concerns and lingering fitness issues after a demanding opening stretch of the calendar.
Multiple top contenders, especially in the men’s singles, have joined an already lengthy absentee list that includes Viktor Axelsen, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, Pornpawee Chochuwong and Japanese pair Kie Nakanishi/Rin Iwanaga.
Here are some of the most notable absentees from the 2026 Indonesia Masters.
