Cristiano Ronaldo enters MMA world

Cristiano Ronaldo has officially ventured into mixed martial arts after becoming a shareholder in Spanish MMA promotion Way of Warrior (WOW) FC.

The announcement was made on Thursday, marking the Al-Nassr forward’s latest move beyond football.

“MMA represents values I truly believe in – discipline, respect, resilience, and the constant pursuit of excellence.” the 40-year-old said in a statement.

“WOW FC is building something unique and powerful, and I’m proud to join this project to help elevate the sport and inspire the next generation.”

UFC Lightweight Champion Ilia Topuria, a part-owner of the promotion, welcomed the five-time Ballon D’Or winner’s involvement.

“Having Cristiano Ronaldo join WOW FC is a powerful moment for the sport. He represents the highest standards of professionalism, hard work, and global excellence,” he said.

“Together, we will push MMA to new heights and inspire athletes and fans around the world to believe that anything is possible.”
