With two races remaining and a maximum of 50 points up for grabs, five men still have a mathematical shot at the crown. Here are some of the permutations for each of them to become the 2025 champion:

Nakarin Atiratphuvapat (152 points)

The Honda Racing Thailand rider arrives at his home circuit with a four-point cushion and the clearest path to the championship. A strong, consistent weekend should be enough to see win the title in front of his home crowd.
– Win both races
– P1 + P2: Provided Hafizh P2 + P1 or worse
– P1 + P3: Provided Hafizh P3 + P1 or worse
– P2 + P2: Provided Hafizh P1 + P3 or worse
– P2 + P3: Provided Hafizh P1 + P4 or worse; Keito/Zaqhwan P1 + P2 or worse
– P3 + P3: Provided Hafizh P1 + P6 or worse; Keito/Zaqhwan P2 + P2 or worse

Hafizh Syahrin (148 points)

A final-lap crash in the Sepang Race 2 cost Hafizh the championship lead he had been clutching for much of the season. The Ducati-powered JDT Racing star almost certainly needs at least one victory this weekend, and must hope that Atiratphuvapat falters in at least one race.
– Win both races
– P1 + P2: Provided Nakarin P2 + P2 or worse
– P1 + P3: Provided Nakarin P5 + P1 or worse
– P2 + P2: Provided Nakarin P1 + P6 or worse; Keito/Zaqhwan P3 + P3 or worse

Keito Abe & Zaqhwan Zaidi (141 points each)

Tied on points and 11 behind the championship leader, Abe and Zaqhwan share the same mathematical pathway to the title. Their challenge is steep: either must score big and hope the top two stumble.
– Win both races: Provided Nakarin not finishing P2 + P2
– P1 + P2: Provided Nakarin P8 + P1 or worse; Hafizh P5 + P1 or worse
– P2 + P2: Provided Nakarin P1 + P13 or worse; Hafizh P1 + P9 or worse; Azroy P1 + P4 or worse

Azroy Hakeem Anuar (135 points)

Azroy, who received a Moto2 wilcard entry for the 2025 Malaysian Grand Prix, essentially needs to have a perfect weekend and hopes his rivals finish poorly.
– Win both races: Provided Nakarin not finishing P2 + P3 or better; Hafizh not finishing P2 + P2
– P1 + P2: Provided Nakarin P14 + P1, P2 + P9, P3 + P5 or worse; Hafizh P10 + P1, P2 + P5, P3 + P4 or worse; Abe/Zaqhwan P4 + P1, P2 + P3 or worse
– P2 + P2: Provided Nakarin P5 + P5 or worse; Hafizh P4 + P4 or worse; Abe/Zaqhwan P1 + P8 or worse
