Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé delivered one of the most explosive individual performances in Champions League history on Wednesday (November 26, 2025). In a thrilling and dramatic visit to Olympiacos, Los Blancos clinched a narrow 4-3 victory, with Mbappé as the undisputed hero.
The French striker not only scored four goals (a quattrick) but also rewrote the record books by registering the second-fastest hat-trick ever seen in the competition.
Mbappé scored his first three goals in a blistering time of just 6 minutes and 42 seconds. This incredible feat falls short only of the current record held by Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) set in 2022.

The match was an end-to-end affair. Madrid, recovering from a defeat against Liverpool on Matchday 4, were stunned early when Chiquinho netted for Olympiacos in the 8th minute.
However, Mbappé then took center stage. He completed his hat-trick (goals in the 22nd, 24th, and 29th minutes), ensuring the first half ended 3-1 to the visitors.
Olympiacos fought back, making it 3-2 through Mehdi Taremi (52′), only for Mbappé to become their nightmare once more. He sealed his fourth goal (quattrick) in the 60th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Vinícius Júnior. Olympiacos added one more consolation goal late on via Ayoub El Kaabi (81′).
With his four goals, Kylian Mbappé officially joined the elite list of players who have scored a quattrick in Champions League history, matching the achievement set by Real Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo achieved his quattrick during Madrid’s 8-0 thrashing of Malmö on December 8, 2015.
Kylian Mbappé, the Player of the Match, commented to Cosmote TV:
“The match was spectacular for the fans. For us less so, as the result was changing constantly. Olympiacos were very good. We needed this victory after our latest results. It’s always good to score, especially with every chance I got. I have fantastic team-mates who didn’t stop feeding me passes.”
