Marc Marquez is making steady progress in his injury recovery.

The 32-year-old underwent a shoulder surgery following a crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix last month that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.

“The recovery is going well, step-by-step,” Martinez was quoted saying by Crash.net.

“We are following all of the doctors’ advice closely, and we are really just going on the timing that we have to go. But everything is evolving really good.

“It’s a severe injury that you really need to be patient with. And as soon as the doctors give us the green light, he will jump on a bike.

“He is trying to improve every day and trying to make that injury better and better. But I think it’s soon that he will be back on a bike.”

Prior to the injury, Marquez had 11 Grand Prix wins to his name for the 2025 season that helped seal his seventh MotoGP World Championship ahead of brother Alex.

In his absence, Michele Pirro raced alongside Fransesco Bagnaia for Ducati Lenovo Team at Phillip Island and Sepang, while Nicolo Bulega took over riding duties for the Portuguese Grand Prix and the upcoming Valencia finale.
