Richard Chin’s Raith Rovers to face Scottish Cup holders Aberdeen

A tantalising Scottish Cup fourth-round tie awaits Richard Chin and Raith Rovers after being drawn to face holders Aberdeen.

The Rovers, who defeated Alloa Athletic in the previous round, are scheduled to travel to Pittodrie Stadium on either January 17 or 18.

Malaysia international Chin, sidelined with a knee injury since October, could return in time for the meeting with Jimmy Thelin’s men.

The fourth round, the first proper stage featuring all 12 top-flight clubs, includes three all-Premiership clashes: Hearts hosting Falkirk, Kilmarnock facing Dundee and Livingston taking on St. Mirren.

Elsewhere, Celtic travel to sixth-tier club Auchinleck Talbot, while Rangers welcome League Two side Annan Athletic to Ibrox.

As for the remaining Premiership sides, Hibernian visit Dunfermline, Dundee United host Ayr United and Motherwell meet Ross County at Fir Park.

Aberdeen lifted the Scottish Cup after beating Celtic on penalties in the 2025 final.

It was their first major trophy since the 2014 Scottish League Cup, and their first Scottish Cup triumph since the 1989-90 season.
