Frances Tiafoe has inherited the longest active streak of Grand Slam first-round victories following Novak Djokovic’s shock opening exit from the 2026 US Open.<\/p>\n

The American extended his run to 22 consecutive opening-round wins at majors after surviving a five-set battle against compatriot Martin Damm Jr. in New York.<\/p>\n

Tiafoe has not lost in the first round of a Grand Slam since he was knocked out by Steve Johnson at the 2021 Roland Garros.<\/p>\n
