Formula One championship leader Kimi Antonelli praised MotoGP riders for the risks they take on track, admitting he could never see himself racing on two wheels.
The 19-year-old Mercedes driver attended last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, where he also waved the chequered flag as fellow Italian Marco Bezzecchi secured victory.
Reflecting on his experience at the event, Antonelli expressed his admiration for MotoGP riders.

“I think MotoGP, whoever does that, is nuts,” Antonelli was quoted saying by Reuters on Thursday.
“I couldn’t imagine myself doing 370km/h on two wheels. I would rather stay on four. More stable, more protected. These guys, I have so much respect for them.
“What they do is unbelievable. If they crash, they are rolling on the ground, in the gravel. They don’t know what’s going to happen.
“What is really mind-blowing for me is if they crash then they run back to the garage, they take the second bike and they go even quicker.
“For me, that’s crazy. It means you’re missing something in the head.”
Antonelli returns to action this week at the Monaco Grand Prix, where he targets a fifth consecutive victory and looks to extend his lead in the drivers’ championship.
