Seven Southeast Asian singles players will attempt to secure places in the 2026 Europe Smash main draw, with Singapore’s Zeng Jian already guaranteed a spot in the women’s singles.
The Europe Smash is one of the World Table Tennis (WTT) circuit’s four premier Grand Smash events of the 2026 season, featuring many of the world’s top-ranked players and offering ranking points and prize money on par with tennis’ Grand Slam tournaments.
The 2026 edition will take place from August 8-16 at Malmö Arena in Sweden.

Singapore will have the largest representation in the singles qualifying draw, with 2025 SEA Games gold medallist Izaac Quek the sole men’s representative.
Ser Lin Qian, Tan Zhao Yun and Loy Ming Ying will compete in the women’s qualifiers as they aim to join compatriot Zeng in the main draw.
Malaysia’s Tee Ai Xin and Chang Li Sian will also feature in the women’s singles qualifiers alongside Thai star Orawan Paranang to complete the Southeast Asian contingent.
Southeast Asia will also be represented across the doubles events, with Singapore’s Pang Koen and Quek contesting the men’s doubles and Ser partnering Loy in the women’s doubles.
The women’s doubles draw will also feature cross-border partnerships, with Singapore’s Chloe Lai teaming up with Germany’s Shan Xiaona and Thailand’s Paranang joining forces with Poland’s Natalia Bajor.
In the mixed doubles, Pang and Zeng will combine as Singapore looks to make an impact across multiple events at the season’s third Grand Smash tournament.
